I love the look of stripes in the home in any season but the look is particularly fresh and nautical in the summer or in a house by the beach. Add stripes with a cute rug or throw pillow or go all out and paint a wall with stripes! You can't really go wrong with neutral colors. I knew my bedroom was missing something so I got a striped blue and white rug from Dash and Albert and, ta da!, it looked instantly more finished.
