Hi everyone! I haven't written an update
in a while so I thought I'd get you all up to speed with what's going
on with me. After I got back from Chicago (first weekend in April), I
started my intro to interior design class, which was held every Monday
night for five weeks and absolutely loved it! I got to design a one
bedroom apartment, which was a lot of work but really fun and rewarding.
I'm really excited to enroll in more interior design night classes and
learn more about the field.
The
fam headed up to Boston to celebrate Tory's 21st birthday on the 14th.
It's always weird this time of year because I go from being one year
away from Robby to one year away from Tory (we're all 18 months apart).
Makes me feel young for all of six months! We had an awesome dinner with
Tory's friends, some from home and some from school, two of my cousins
and my immediate family (minus Robby). We ate at Harvest in Cambridge
and it was delicious. I had the burrata and asparagus salad with
balsamic, which was sooo delish. After dinner we went to the bar and
Tory could finally have her first drink! Just kidding...
I
was home the next two weekends (shocker) and it was great to get
errands done, clean up a bit and hang out with my family in Greenwich
for Sunday night dinners. I went to the Cornell lacrosse game against
Princeton, which was a blast, and they even got the W. It was a gorgeous
day with old friends and it was so fun catching up. I went to dinner with some of my Cornell girlfriends above a comedy club and they had more than 4 things on their menu with some sort of truffles. My kind of place! I also got to hang out with some of my squash boys because two were down for the weekend. Always a great time!
This
past weekend, I went down to Charlotte to see Riley and watch some of
their playoff games. They ended up losing, which was a bummer, but now
Riley finally gets to come up and see me, although I don't know what
he's going to do all day while I'm at work...It was also nice getting to
say goodbye to some of the girls who I've been hanging out with on my
visits for the past three years. I'm so thankful that it is such a nice
group because it makes going down there that much better.
Days
like today, when it's pouring down rain and there are flash flood
warnings, make me want to crawl back into bed and stay there all day.
Hopefully summer weather comes soon because this spring (if you can even
call it that) has been too cold! This weekend I have my first private
pilates session that I got on Gilt (such a steal) and am going home for
mother's day on Sunday for my favorite brunch of the year. Sorry for the extremely long update but I haven't written in over a month and there has been a lot going on! I hope you
all have a great week! xC
