Edie Parker Cuteness

My cousin, Louisa, was in town yesterday on her way back to school and she showed me the Edie Parker clutch she wants to ask her parents for as a graduation present and she almost had to pry my hands off of her laptop. Edie Parker was launched about four years ago and makes acrylic clutches and bags. These vintage inspired creations are an ode to socialites in the 1950's and 60's and they are so glam. You can buy them at net-a-porter, Barneys, Bergdorfs, Matches Fashion (great site that I just found), Editorialist and other places but what really caught my eye was the bespoke bags. You can pick your material and colors and choose what you want to have spelled out. The whole design and creation process takes place in the good old US of A and the bags are completely handmade. Designer and creator, Brett Heyman, previously worked at Gucci, Elle Magazine, Dolce & Gabbana and Giorgio Armani. She sought out vintage purses at flea markets and vintage shops until she wasn't pleased enough with her purchases and wanted to create exactly what she was after.

The clutches, while very expensive, are the perfect accessory for a night on the town. I'm actually a little nervous for my sister, Tory, to see these because she just might "need" one. The "Mrs." clutch with the adorable pink, mother of peal-esque case, gold fastener and mirrored inside would be the perfect bag to use as a bride-to-be at your rehearsal dinner. I am obsessed. Which would you guys get? The one with the oranges is gorgeous and I like the black zigzags but I think if I had to choose, I would get the black clutch with "Clare" in silver.
