Lilly Pulitzer, who made the classic shift dress a preppy staple, passed away yesterday. Pulitzer began designing in 1959 and her colorful prints are recognized worldwide. Lilly dresses are passed down from generation to generation. I have some awesome retro dresses my mom wore in high school and if I have daughters, they have quite the collection already.
