MDS Stripes

Half of my closet is stripes. This is not an exaggeration. You can take the East Coast girl out of the East Coast... well, you know how it goes. When I found out Mark D Sikes was doing a line, aptly named MDS Stripes, I sort of freaked. The beachy, preppy and fun line features dresses, tops, skirts, short shorts and even made to order maxi skirts in, of course, navy and white stripes. My favorites? The Bacall Boxy Tee, the Jane Halter, the Kate tank and the Lucy shorts. Check out all the MDS Stripes styles here and check out Mark's site, an absolute must-read, here.

Designer to Know: Holly Fulton

I recently discovered designer Holly Fulton while browsing the new arrivals section on Net-a-porter and decided to check out the rest of her collection. I can't believe it took me this long to find this incredible designer! I seem to gravitate towards British designers so I wasn't that surprised to hear that she was not American. I am loving the retro flair and beautiful silhouettes in her collection.  Fulton has a really old school approach to designing and loves using "graphic print, luxurious materials and hot accessories." Sign me up! P.S. check out the brand on tumblr.

Designer Obsession: Carven

I recently stumbled upon Carven on net-a-porter and am hooked! From the welcome page on the Carven website:

"Since the beginning, the Carven house has had a democratic and Parisian view of fashion design. Madame Carmen de Tommaso broke through the austere world of Haute Couture as an innovator in the Forties with a spontaneous and fresh style, adapted to the women’s everyday life at that time. Since 2009, Carven has opened a new chapter. From the couture years, Guillaume Henry and Carven have kept its heritage. It lives on in the spirit of perfect design and choice materials. Today, the house offers ready-to-wear that is both inspired and accessible"

This spring they're launching a collaboration with Petit Bateau and I cannot wait! Chic chic chic!

Amazing Collaboration

Target has been known to do designer collaborations in everything from fashion to home decor (who could forget the Missoni for Target crisis of 2011?). Well, this time they're not just collaborating with one designer but unleashing a major campaign with some of the biggest designers of our time.By teaming up with Neiman Marcus, they have everyone signed on from Tory Burch to Diane Von Furstenburg to Oscar de la Renta. There are 24 designers to be exact. Below is the full list.

Both Neiman Marcus and Target will be carrying the capsule collections in their stores and on their websites starting December 1. One million dollars of the proceeds will go to the CFDA (a non-profit trade organization for North-American designers of fashion and fashion accessories). The prices range from around $8 to around $500 with the average price per piece around $60, which is a little pricy for Target, but if you're a fan of the above designers, like I am, you're already itching to get in line.

Below is a look at some of the products that will be available December 1st. I'm obsessed with the Tracy Reese top and Altuzarra tray and bar accessories. Mark your calendars!
