I was drooling over the home makeover courtesy of Bailey from
Peppermint Bliss (creator of
Biscuit Bedding and Home) in
Rue Magazine this month. Every room had her special touch and I particularly loved the gorgeous green living room that featured a fantastic buffalo print and built-ins. I have been obsessed with green, a color previously lacking from my wardrobe, this year which, I'm sure, has to do with Pantone picking emerald as the color of the year. While green is new to my wardrobe, I have always loved it in home decor. I feel like green rooms have been springing up more and more and it's not just for libraries anymore. I've seen amazing green kitchens (a la the wonderful Kelly Wearstler) and bedrooms. We had a green sunroom in my parents old house that was so light and airy and when we moved to our new house, my mom painted the library green (so we didn't have to change the furniture too much). While it is now a great chocolate brown lacquered color, we still refer to it as the green room. Old habits die hard I guess!
