Guest Post: Tory's Recent Discoveries

Testing one, two, three. Tory here. Clare's little sister. Clare has been busy with work, so she's given over the controls of MM to me muhaha. I've been traveling a ton for work and have stumbled across some amazing brands that will likely freshen up any closet. Take a peek below! Happy Thursday :)

VIVIAN CHAN

I was first introduced to this line last October when I happened to be in the booth next to them at a Los Angeles trade show. I was drooling over this Spring 2016 Collection. If you're looking for some great textured garments, look no further. They have the perfect pieces just in time for Mother’s Day brunch, Memorial Day Weekend, and wedding season. I am swooning over the Tobi dress. Does that not scream Oscar de la Renta?!

A few words from the designer… "VIVIANCHAN is inspired by and dedicated to real women, real careers, and real personalities. Our purpose is to create garments that can allow a woman
to celebrate her beauty as well as embrace her femininity."

CJW

If you love a good whimsical garment like me, these scarves are just the ticket. I recently got my hands on the Tokyo one (bottom right) and couldn’t be more in love. Talk about a great piece to add pop to any understated, summer outfit. Can't wait to travel with this beauty this summer :)

A few words from the designer… "Inspired by art, popular culture, bright colors, classic glamour, international travels and everyday comforts; the collection is a whimsical zeitgeist."

MALIN

This up and coming Swedish designer has effortlessly combined edgy and feminine. Everything is handmade and absolutely stunning. I just can’t get enough of her dyed rope bracelets. Her unique designs can be found at the always chic LA based boutique, Jill Roberts.

Loving for Spring: Tory Burch

My mom hates to shop. This is a concept that just doesn't sit right with my two sisters and me because we are borderline addicts. Because of this, we love to send her clothes for the season especially because we overlap sizes. This season, I sent her a bunch of Tory Burch items. This was a selfish move because I plan on wearing every single item I sent her. Below are some of my favorite pieces from the spring line. I especially love the green skirt, red tunic and chunky jewelry.

Spring Wishlist

Already feels like spring in California and that means lighter colors, spring cleaning and more shopping?? Below are a few things I'm dying to get for spring. Those Valentino sandals are amazing and I'm really hoping to get the YSL chain bag in blush - such a nice color to transition from spring to summer. How beautiful is that diptyque candle?? And I've always wanted a signet ring. The J.Crew one below is dainty and perfect. Tory and I just got that "Howdy" welcome mat, so cross that one off the list but everything else is fair game... Also, don't forget to check out my boutique for more of my favorites! (Link here)

Not Your Grandmother's Pearls

June birthdays rejoice because your birthstone is getting revamped. I've seen so many cool/hip pearl earrings, rings, necklaces and accessories that are changing the way we look at pearls. I particularly like the Sophie Bille Brahe gold and pearl necklace and all of the cool earring cuffs. The classic, preppy staple is becoming a little edgier and it works for me!

Green with Envy

I've been seeing a lot of green this season and one of my favorites ways to rock the trend is with a green skirt. Whether wearing it to work, on the weekend or out, you can't go wrong.

My Fall Fashion Staples

These are the items in my closet that I cannot get enough of this fall. I wear the moto boots almost every day! They were pretty expensive but since I purchased them last year, I've gotten about 100 wears out of them. The J. Crew flats are extremely comfortable and look a lot more expensive than they are. I wear them to work all the time.
