New Etsy Favorites

Etsy is an amazing site but can be hard to navigate. I like to search for blogs that specifically cover Etsy shops (or picks) and I "favorite" any shop that has things I like. I then look at that shop's followers and look at the shops that those people like and so on. It's pretty key to build your favorite shops in order to navigate appropriately. Below are a few of my favorite picks for October. I love trying out new brands of soaps and candles and Etsy has amazing greeting cards, pillows, vintage clothing, furniture, etc. What are you favorite Etsy shops?

Campaigning

I love the look of high gloss, lacquer campaign dressers, desks and side tables. While some can be very pricey, Etsy, is a good place to search for less expensive versions. There are also some great ikea hacks floating around there that show you how to make your own by painting and tweaking inexpensive ikea pieces. Need to try that sometime! I love that they come in a bunch of different colors and the hardware always makes them look polished and refined.

Etsy Favorites 1.30.14

I adore Etsy for home goods, beautiful cards and unique finds. Below are some of my favorite things on the site for sale right now. I am obsessed with the globe and the vintage suitcases. I also really want a juju hat for my apartment and love that a bunch of Etsy shops use fun fabrics for pillows like Kelly Wearstler's confetti print.

2014 Calendar

I love the start of a new year. I love getting organized, making goals and resolutions and getting a cute new calendar. Below are a few of my favorites. The second one down is similar to the one that I had this year that I loved and how cute is the Paris one below?! I also really like the beer and food one and Linda and Harriett calendars can be used as postcards as well as calendars. I also wouldn't mind getting the gorgeous watercolor calendar by Sarah Hankinson - so adorable!

Just because they're little people doesn't mean they shouldn't get big gifts! I'm dying over those baby duck boots and the Tods (and the cashmere mittens and the cape and the Johnnie-O gear...) Taxidermy and Faux Taxidermy in the Home

I have been loving the look of taxidermy in the home since I discovered a couple of great Etsy shops that specialize in colorful faux taxidermy. Since then, I have been seeing different animal heads have been adding a touch of whimsy to the home. While real taxidermy adds masculinity and a rustic edge, faux taxidermy can be colorful and fun. Two of my favorite Etsy shops for great taxidermy finds are Mahzerandvee and White Faux Taxidermy.

I love Etsy but you really have to search to find the good stuff. In the past I've found great vintage furniture, cool art prints, unique gifts and the list goes on!
