My picks below:

Unique Wedding Gifts

It's officially wedding season and that means lots of travel and lots of gifts. If you're like me, you hate getting the same old things and want to make your gift stand out. While it's always safe and encouraged to buy off the registry, below are a few unique and thoughtful gifts for the couple to be. Favorites include Moscow mule mugs with the couple's initials, trays, log carriers (all with name/monogram, of course) and I've given the beautiful custom cutting board twice. You can pick the custom details you want like initials, wedding date and even get it in the shape of a state. I also like things like wine of the month club or plated - what newly married couple doesn't like cooking together and drinking wine??

Gifts for the Littles

Below are a few fun gifts for the little peeps in your life. I have a 5 month old godson and an 11 year old godson so I am on the hunt for the perfect Christmas gifts for them. For Jack, the younger one, I'm thinking the early rider push-along would be a fun one and for my older godson, Charlie, I may go with the snowball launcher (he already has one of those nifty skateboards) and a fathead of Rickie Fowler (not shown here...). Of course, you can never go wrong with a johnnie-O Jr. polo, 1/4 zip, bathing suit, etc. etc. (shameless plug but I mean it..) What are you guys getting for the kiddos in your lives?

Birthday Wishlist

My birthday is Friday and with a cross-country move in the last week under my belt, I haven't put too much thought into presents. I don't actually expect to get any of the below because I have pretty much asked for furniture and other home accessories for our new apartment but if I wereeee to get something I would love anything off of the below list. I would like anything and everything below at anytime for that matter! Dream on, Clare. Dream on...

The Ultimate Stocking Stuffer - Naked3 Palette

I am obsessed with eye shadow so very few things make me happier than a good palette. Urban Decay has hit a home run with their new Naked palettes, which each include 12 richly hued colors. My younger sister, Lulu, has the Naked2 palette, which I prefer over the Naked1 and use every time I sleep over in Greenwich and raid her medicine cabinet. I don't know why I didn't pull the trigger and buy my own but when I heard Urban Decay was coming out with the Naked3 around the holiday season I decided to wait. And boy am I happy I waited! This rose-hued colors are amazing and sparkly and the perfect stocking-stuffer for the makeup lover on your list. I couldn't wait for Santa to bring it for me because I wanted to use it for holiday parties...

Biscuit Bedding and Home

If you're in the market for new bedding, look no further than Biscuit Home. The adorable site carries home decor along with cute and cozy bedding that I am this close to pulling the trigger on buying. While not exactly inexpensive, Biscuit, is not as pricey as the big names in bedding and I love that you can mix and match patterns and colors. I've been meaning to write this post since I discovered the site a few weeks ago and when I went on the website this morning they had all new bedding (yes!). The site also features an perfectly curated home section with knick knacks and gifts for everyone in your life.

I want them allllll!

I love how they mix and match the floral with the understated zebra-y print

Thinking about getting this set of sheets with the splattered blue and keeping my white duvet. What do you think??

Both of these headboards are absurdly cute

My Life Lately 12.27.12

Hello! Hope everyone had a great Christmas and is enjoying the holiday season. I, for one, ate far too much but also had a fantastic time. I headed down to Charlotte to see Riley and his family was down there, as well, which was great. We went bowling and go karting and went to the Panthers game. We even got to go on the field. My favorite part was probably less about football and more about my Emily Maynard sighting (just kidding but it was actually kind of fun to have a (psuedo) celeb siting)! I did, surprisingly, really enjoy the football. What can I say, it was a really exciting game! (don't tell Riley I actually liked it!)

Riley and me at the Panthers game. It was actually pretty chilly!

Christmas night we really feasted. It was just the seven of us and my brother ordered a greatest hits pack of cheese from Murray's, which we had with truffle honey and was divine. My mom bought sushi grade tuna from the Japanese market and made the Barefoot Contessa's tuna tartar recipe that I swear I could live on. For dinner, we had standing rib roast with a morel mushroom cream gravy, delicious brussels sprouts, gruyere potatoes, popovers and creamed spinach. The meal was topped of by Crumbs cupcakes and lots of champagne (and awesome pomegranate martinis). We had a ball and it was really fun to spend time with my family. Now that my brother works all the time and I'm working and my sister is away at school it's hard to get the whole family together.

The gorgeous cheese tray I prepared (if I do say so myself!)

And Santa was good to me. I'm talking really good. I'm talking helmut lang leather pants good! What were your favorite presents? I also got my tax return (finally) and took it as a sign to get the Rag+Bone Kinsey boots in black (because I needed them.. right??) We even got a dusting for snow... what more could I ask for?

Christmas mantle

My 4 siblings and I (how cute is Tory's mink stole from Etsy??)

We flew down to Boca Grande, Florida yesterday (probably my favorite place on earth) and the weather is divine. I'm just so happy to be outside in the warmth with my family. Tomorrow is Lulu's 14th birthday, which is frightening in itself.

Lu and Lily paddle boarding.

A gorgeous vintage car and golf carts in town

I hope everyone had a great holiday and survived the Noreaster yesterday. Excuse me while I enjoy the sun...Talk soon!

Gift Guide 2012

I always say that the two things I'm good at won't make me any money: ordering off of menus and gift giving. I can always have fun with it though can't I?? Every year, on the day after Thanksgiving, my sisters and I sit on our computers and order our presents from Santa. My mom hates to shop (I have no idea where my sisters and I come from..) so this method allows her to avoid it at all costs. This year I've picked out some great goodies that I'm excited to share! I hope the peeps I bought presents for don't read this...
