Shop the Look: Lily Aldridge

I love Lily Aldridge. Not only is she absolutely stunning, she has great, accessible style and has the cutest little family. As I browsed The Daily Mail this morning I saw a picture of Lily with her daughter, Dixie, and Kings of Leon husband casually strolling through the airport looking so chic. I know my Rag and Bone, so the hat and shoes were easy to find. Lily recently collaborated with Velvet so the shirts were easy to find, as well. A quick shopbop search later and I found out the the perfectly distressed jeans are Current Elliot. Now, I realize buying this entire outfit and wearing it exactly how Lily is will not make me her but at least I'm getting close right??

Loving Right Now: Club Monaco

Club Monaco has been so on point recently. I walked into their Flatiron store on Saturday and was blown away. If you haven't been in the last few months, I highly recommend stopping by. They completely redid the space and it is fresh and elegant. There was a silk parka that I NEED and a few dresses that would add that little special something to my spring wardrobe. When it gets a little warmer I'd love to pair that floral dress with my rag and bone Newbury booties and a scarf. Come soon Spring!

Just got those Rag + Bone booties and I'm obsessed. Love the sleeveless Vince top in the middle and will probablyyy need to get the Warby Parker sunglasses... Fall Fashion Wishlist 2013

There is something about fall that makes me want to shop every second of the day. It could be the rich tones and comfy sweaters and extras or it could just be that old back to school vibe that gets me in the mood. Either way, my shopbop hearts are overflowing with cute pieces that I'm dying to add to my wardrobe. Take for instance the insaneeee DVF black coat below with the detachable collar or the emerald (color of the season) Rebecca Taylor dress that is equally exciting for work or play. I actually bought the hat below and it is fantasticcc - so happy with my purchase. Bucket bags and backpacks are all the rage this fall and the one below is adorable. I mightttt need it and I also might need a pair of velvet flared pants like the J Brands below. What items are on your fall fashion wishlist? Days like these when I cross my fingers that I win the powerball....

Marchesa has launched a moderately price line that was inspired by the founders' travels to exotica locations. It features lots of prints, rich hues, embellishments, caftans, tunics and head pieces. The line ranges in price from $260-$1000, which is still a bit pricey but if you're a fan of Marchesa's stunning designs this is a huge bargain. Read more about the launch here.

 Loveeee this dress

Rag and Bone (one of my faves) and Wellington (creator of the Hunter boot) have teamed up to produce limited edition Rag and Bone for Wellies boots. The boots are already available on R+B's website and they are super cute. They come in tall and short and have a sort of equestrian vibe. They're a great accessory for Fall. Spent a bit too much time (and $$) on Mac yesterday (an hour to be exact) picking out the perfect colors in my new 15 shade palette. I browsed tons of blogs to look at which colors people said were the best and these are the shades I picked. SO excited for this baby to get here. (more to come on my fall beauty round up soon!)

Birthday Wishlist

I know it's a little premature (my birthday isn't until a week from Thursday) but I always get excited for my birthday so I thought I'd post my ultimate wishlist. I'd be lucky to get any of these.. maybe I should start buying lottos tickets again??

Some of the items on here are classics like nude louboutins and an hermes belt but some are a bit more modern like the Maison Gray print, Brooke Gregson "virgo" necklace (you can pick your sign) and Helmut Lang leather jacket. Drybar gift certificates or "coasters" are an awesome gift for any girl in your life and at $40 bucks a pop I think I'll take those over flowers any day! The Nikon portrait lens is so that I can take better pics for the blog and who isn't lusting after the valentino studded heels?? What items are on your wishlists recently?

 

Neutrals for Fall

I went on shopbop this morning when I got to work and was so inspired by Vince's fall line. Everything is clean and impeccably cut and, as is Vince's way, neutral.  This fall I want to focus on getting well-made, classic pieces that I will want in my wardrobe forever rather than cheapish pieces I hate in 6 months. I'm not quiteeeee ready for summer to be over and to give up my white pants but I will be ready for black, navy, gray and tan come mid-September.My favorite fall looks have been from Vince, Rag and Bone, Helmut Lang, Theory, Rebecca Taylor, and, surprisingly, it looks like Susana Monaco is making a comeback.

Some of my faves from Shopbop

I Want a... Summer Hat

So I never thought I'd say this but I really want a fedora. I always made fun of people who wore silly hats but they are so in this season and they look so chic on the beach or on the street. The J. Crew Panama hat has been popping up everywhere but I tried it on in the store and it was a little too big for my head (shocker, I know...). I was OBSESSED with the Rag and Bone floppy brim fedora from the spring but they sold out in a minute and, of course, I couldn't justify spending over $100 on a hat and am now kicking myself. Their new floppy brim fedora isn't quite assss cute but I'm sure once it sells out I'll be mad I didn't get it. I found one on Asos that I thought was perfect but it was sold out. There are a couple cute options on Shopbop but I can NOT commit! Does anyone have any suggestions for the perfect hat that will look amazing on the beach and also with a cute outfit in the fall?? Is that impossible? Below are some of my favorite looks from Pinterest and the reason I am obsessing over getting one. Like, I need a hat because of these pictures but I can't find one that suits me! I could just go full-out summer and get a big floppy sun hat (this one from Target is pretty cute for only $15) but then I'll have to get a new one for fall. Wouldn't be the worst thing...??
