June Mood Board

Did May fly by or what?? No complaints, though - I've been so excited for summer since, well, last summer ended and my June is packed with fun activities. I have the Botanical Garden Gala this Thursday and a fun birthday at the Bowery Hotel on Friday. I'm playing on a softball team with a bunch of my friends from Cornell, which I anticipate will be a grand old time, as well! I leave for Canada on the 29th for 8 days to see Riley and will be missing the 4th of July but get to celebrate Canada Day, which I hear is also pretty fun (definitely has nothing on the 4th, though)! Pretty excited to relax and take some time off. 

June is also gluten-free month in hopes of looking good in a bathing suit in July. So far so good with the cleanse (no alcohol has been the hardest by far...) and I'm all done with it on Wednesday. I'm also redeeming my Best of Bliss gift certificate which is a half day at the Bliss Spa on 49th complete with hour long mani, hour long almond milk pedi, 75 minute blissassage and 75 minute Bliss Oxygen Facial. Can you say Heaven??? I also plan on going home to Greenwich quite a bit to play with the pups (and my siblings...) and get some sun! What are you all up to for Summer?? Puppy!

My family currently has two dogs, Pixie, a golden retriever who is 3 and George, a havanese, who is 11 or 12 (yes, it seems odd that our white fluffy dog is named George and our big dog is named Pixie. Don't ask...). Ever since we fell in love with Pixie three years ago, we have been begging my mom to get another golden because she is the cutest (even though I don't live at home I still visit all the time!). The breeders are in Greenwich and we always check their website to find out about new litters and news.

On April 1, two of Pixie's sisters each had a litter each and they are ADORABLE. We went on Sunday to go "look" because my mom has been adamant that she doesn't want another dog. We finally wore her down because you literally could not say no to the cuteness of these pups and we brought Pixie and she got to see her mom and sisters and was so excited! That afternoon, after a bit of begging, mom finally said yes to another puppy! So I decided to dedicate a post to our favorite furry friends because who doesn't love to look a puppies on a Tuesday?? Throw a Cinco de Mayo Party

I always love this time of year because it's (usually) warm and everyone starts to get really excited for summer. As someone who loves Mexican food, Cinco de Mayo is the perfect holiday for me because it combines my love of eating with my love of drinking... I'll be in Charlotte this weekend so I won't be able to throw my own party but I will damn well make sure everyone gets their party hats on for some margaritas (and guac)! I hope everyone has a great weekend and eats lots of Mexican food! xC

Mother's Day Gift Guide 2013

Mother's Day is right around the corner and I, for one, want to get my momma something awesome. I particularly love the cute pink striped pjs and the blue tods. Moms will love a membership to Birchbox, where they send you new beauty products each month (I've also done wine of the month and cheese of the month memberships, which have been a total hit!)
