May Wishlist

I've got a lot of safari-themed colors on this wishlist...Army greens, hides, nudes and grays are on my mind for May - with some blues, of course.

Here/Now Slip-On Sneakers

Dying over these Here/Now slip-on sneakers I spotted on instagram. Featuring a leather or suede body, white sole and adorable pom-poms on top, I must buy a pair. Obsessing over the pink pom pom ones with the metallic gold toe and tongue. NEED!

New Skincare Line: Kayo Better Body Care

I love getting new skincare products. I especially love getting new skincare products if they fill a purpose in my medicine cabinet that no other products do. Enter Kayo Better Body Care. Many of you know that I struggle with KP and it's gotten pretty bad in the dry LA weather. I'm always looking for a great body lotion/scrub/solution and I ran across a great article on Well + Good that spoke about Kayo. They claim to make "face grade body care." Think LA Mer face lotion for your face but at a more reasonable price (not that reasonable but not La Mer prices).

The line features 5 products including the body beautiful creme, the concentrated slimming serum, the daily remodeling serum (which happens to be sold out - damnit), the daily vitamin boost and the cellular repair evening oil. Naturally I needed them all... for research... I haven't received my package yet but if the claims to be face grade body care are accurate, I am hoping to have some glowing limbs in no time.

The company, based in Malibu, says, "Your skin is your largest organ and keeping it healthy is vital for complete health, beauty and wellness. We believe that all skin is created equal and the skin on your body is just as important as the skin on your face. Kayo developed Face Grade Body Care® , a combination of clinically proven active ingredients and precious natural plant extracts and oils, pure enough for your face, yet specifically formulated for your body. Kayo’s products are free of Parabens, Sulfates, Phthalates, Petrolatum, Synthetic Color, PEGs, TEA, DEA, GMO’s and Mineral Oil. Always Vegan. Never tested on animals. Made in the U.S.A. Born and raised in Malibu, California."

They share a lab in SoCal with another natural skin care brand and can effectively cut out the middle man to make prices more palatable. Kayo's whole schtick is that if you are living a healthy lifestyle with food and exercise, wearing sunscreen and taking care of your face, why not treat the skin on your body the same way?

So there you have it. Will you be checking out Kayo? I'll check back in with my results! You can buy on their website here.

VIVIAN CHAN

I was first introduced to this line last October when I happened to be in the booth next to them at a Los Angeles trade show. I was drooling over this Spring 2016 Collection. If you're looking for some great textured garments, look no further. They have the perfect pieces just in time for Mother’s Day brunch, Memorial Day Weekend, and wedding season. I am swooning over the Tobi dress. Does that not scream Oscar de la Renta?!

A few words from the designer… "VIVIANCHAN is inspired by and dedicated to real women, real careers, and real personalities. Our purpose is to create garments that can allow a woman
to celebrate her beauty as well as embrace her femininity."

CJW

If you love a good whimsical garment like me, these scarves are just the ticket. I recently got my hands on the Tokyo one (bottom right) and couldn’t be more in love. Talk about a great piece to add pop to any understated, summer outfit. Can't wait to travel with this beauty this summer :)

A few words from the designer… "Inspired by art, popular culture, bright colors, classic glamour, international travels and everyday comforts; the collection is a whimsical zeitgeist."

MALIN

This up and coming Swedish designer has effortlessly combined edgy and feminine. Everything is handmade and absolutely stunning. I just can’t get enough of her dyed rope bracelets. Her unique designs can be found at the always chic LA based boutique, Jill Roberts.
