Having a New York kind of weekend - running all of my errands, working out, going to dinners and brunches and getting organized because next week paleo lent starts, which requires a lot of planning! I need to start remembering the below quote. Does that mean I should stay really close to Barneys?? Kidding! Have a great weekend everyone!

Favorite Coffee Table Books

I have loved coffee table books since before it was appropriate to collect coffee table books. I had at least ten in my room by the time I was 14. And without a coffee table to put them on, they all piled up in my room until a few years ago when I got my first apartment. I adore Assouline books in particular. They are always so gorgeous and filled with photos that take you to another time or place. Below are a few of my favorites. You can click the link to shop, but beware, once you start collecting, it's hard to stop!

Target Threshold

Target has been on fire lately with their Peter Pilotto for Target line and with great home lines, including Threshold. I am obsessed with the bar cart and pink tufted ottoman below. Also, the white bedside table is perfect and why spend and arm and a leg for a West Elm Parsons Desk when you can get the equally cute one below??

Pastels for Spring

I adore pastels and they are hot this spring. I love mint and powder pink and... well, every pastel. What better time to update your close with these spring staples than when there is a big sale??

Shopbop is having a hugeee end of winter sale where if you spend $250+ you get 20% off, spend $500 get 25% off and when you spend $1000 you get 30% off. Below are some of my shopbop hearts that I'm dying for (pastels, of course!). I love that Equipment is making blazers now (a natural transition for the brand). Also, how cute is that light blue lace top by Rebecca Taylor?? I also cannot say no to colored jeans - it's a problem...

Technology Thursday: Apps I Love

+ Afterlight - the best photo editing app I have seen to date. They have tons of filters, light leak options and frames. A must have for the instagram obessed.

+Minibar - this seamless-esque app is, unfortunately, only available in New York but for New Yorkers, download immediately. Minibar allows you to have your wine/alcohol delivered in under an hour. I don't know about you, but there have been times I have been in a pinch and really could have used this app. There have also been times where I have been far to lazy to leave the couch and would have very much liked to have had this.

+Sweetgreen - if you haven't ventured over to the NoMad salad destination (originally opened in Washington, DC), I recommend you get over there. They have  freshest salads I've ever had with locally sourced ingredients. The app makes it quick and easy to pay and get rewards.

+QuizUp - if you like competing with your friends over stupid and non-stupid categories, get Quizup. Awesome for those times when you have a few minutes to kill or want to test your knowledge on national flags or Hunger Games trivia.

+Up - If you're looking to track your steps, calories and sleeping patterns, I recommend getting a jawbone. This fitness band is amazing and it keeps me motivated (I set it so that it buzzes if I'm sitting for an hour). The Jawbone comes in a variety of different sizes and colors. The newest Jawbone even syncs wirelessly.

Blood Orange

I recently picked up the cutest sweater from Gap that is a beautiful orange color and since then have noticed the color everywhere. I can see myself infusing more of this happy hue into my wardrobe come spring. This bathing suit may be next on my list...

My Life Lately 2.18.14

Hi everyone! We made it down to the Bahamas and we're (unfortunately) back already. I had such a great trip and got some much needed R+R. Riley got to fulfill his lifelong dream of swimming with dolphins and, although, disgustingly overpriced, I had an awesome time at the Atlantis. I love how quickly February flies by. Knowing March is just around the corner (with warm weather hopefully) is enough to give me a final push through winter. Hope you all had a wonderful long weekend!

Fur is In at NYFW

This year at fashion week, fur is the number one trend on the street style scene because it is just so dang cold in New York. I'm supposed to head to the Bahamas tomorrow but it looks like another polar vortex is heading our way (fingers crossed I get out!). There was big fur and colorful fur and, I'm not gonna lie, if I don't get out of the city, I may just dive into a big pile of fur myself. Only kidding (sorta...) P.S. sorry PETA...

This picture was actually not at NYFW but I'm obsessed with KB and had to include. That coat!

Nike Live/Lounge

I love Nike for their running shoes and apparel but lately I've also been loving it for their lifestyle clothes (aka clothing/shoes you don't workout in). I recently got a pair of adorable dunks and they have really cute nike signal tops that I got two of (you can workout in them but they're also super comfy for lounging). Below are a few of my favorites.

Cute Valentine's Day Cards

Etsy is such a good source for cute cards and letterpress anything. Below are some adorable cards for that special someone on Valentine's Day.

Stunning Soakers - Glamorous Tubs

Is there anything better than soaking in a tub?? Seriously, I can only think of a few things... A few candles, dimmed lights... I also adoreeee the look of claw foot tubs. They are so elegant and make a bathroom girly and glamorous. While white tubs are most commonly seen, I love the look of colored tubs, as well. Check a couple of my faves out below.

Striped Tees

Just got those Rag + Bone booties and I'm obsessed. Love the sleeveless Vince top in the middle and will probablyyy need to get the Warby Parker sunglasses... Anyone else have an obsession with stripes?? P.S. figured out hot link so if you click something below it will take you to the site. Enjoy : )

Detox Smoothie

This recipe is delicious and energizing. After seeing it on wellangooodnyc.com (one of my favorite websites) I tried it and had to post. For those of you who want to have greens in your smoothie but don't want to taste them, this is the smoothie for you. It is also an amazing antioxidant punch to have before you indulge in all of those V-Day treats. It's packed with 11 grams of complete protein and omega 3s and maca is known to have numerous health benefits like tons of B vitmains for energy. Enjoy!

P.S. if you don't have a blender, I highly recommend the nutribullet. It's small and powerful.
