Perforated Perfection

Last spring, I got the most lovely pair of perforated Gap sandals that are still my number one sandals today. My sister, Tory, haddd to have them, as well, and she told me that more than one person asked her where she got her Alaia sandals in LA. Win for the Berner sisters! This season, I've seen perforated shirts, skirts, shoes and bags and I don't hate it. Below are a few of my favorite pieces. 

Spring Nails 2014

There is something about the spring and fall seasons that makes me want to try new nail colors. This spring, I'm loving creamy lilac colors and a fresh take on corals. What are your favorite colors this season? Below are a few I'm dying to try. How cute is the matte violet color bottom left?? I'm obsessed.

My Life Lately 3.18.14

Hi everyone! Sorry my posting has been sporadic. Big changes on the work front for me - after two years in finance, I left my job to pursue my dream of working in fashion. I had the most wonderful first work experience but I am ready to switch gears and begin pursuing a career in something I am truly passionate about. The blog will obviously continue to run as usual but perhaps with some more west coast flare as I'm taking off for Santa Monica in August. This is a huge change for me but I'm so excited for the next chapter. For now, I'm taking about a month off, which is amazing, and am currently posted up in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Next week I head to Florida and the week after I'm off to Raleigh so there are no complaints from this girl. Have a great week everyone!

Shop the Look: Lily Aldridge

I love Lily Aldridge. Not only is she absolutely stunning, she has great, accessible style and has the cutest little family. As I browsed The Daily Mail this morning I saw a picture of Lily with her daughter, Dixie, and Kings of Leon husband casually strolling through the airport looking so chic. I know my Rag and Bone, so the hat and shoes were easy to find. Lily recently collaborated with Velvet so the shirts were easy to find, as well. A quick shopbop search later and I found out the the perfectly distressed jeans are Current Elliot. Now, I realize buying this entire outfit and wearing it exactly how Lily is will not make me her but at least I'm getting close right??

Spring Trend: Mules

Mules are the hot new footwear trend for spring. And no, not moscow mules, although that may be one of my favorite cocktails, I'm talking about the adorable slip on heel that can be dressed up or down. I actually just got this adorable/colorful pair from Victoria's Secret (yes, they have shoes). I'm going to wear them with jeans and spring dresses. Will you be wearing mules this spring?

Favorite Online Magazines

I have hoarded magazines since I can remember. It really doesn't matter the genre - fitness, fashion, home, or wedding, I am enthralled by magazines. I think I audibly shrieked when I heard Domino was coming back and I have old magazines stacked high in my closet from middle school (those are amazing issues, mom, don't throw them out!). E-zines, or online magazines, are much less expensive and seriously space-saving. There is also an interactive element that I love. Like a sweater? Click and you're on the sweater's site ready to buy. Below are some of my favorites. I also love that most of these e-magazines have fresh content on their websites everyday that doesn't make it into the final product. I can get my fix whenever! Happy weekend reading everyone!

Bamboo Shades

I've been loving the look of bamboo shades and last night when I told my mom that we should consider putting them in one of the new John Street cottages, she reminded me that she was way ahead of the trend and had them in our first house in New York (go mom!). They add a youthful element to a room and are almost beachy without being too much for a house that experiences seasons. Check a few of my favorite versions below. Whether in an office, living room, kitchen or bedroom, I am lovinggg bamboo shades.

Loving Right Now: Club Monaco

Club Monaco has been so on point recently. I walked into their Flatiron store on Saturday and was blown away. If you haven't been in the last few months, I highly recommend stopping by. They completely redid the space and it is fresh and elegant. There was a silk parka that I NEED and a few dresses that would add that little special something to my spring wardrobe. When it gets a little warmer I'd love to pair that floral dress with my rag and bone Newbury booties and a scarf. Come soon Spring!
