My girls weekend with Lulu this weekend was so fun. Saturday we had brunch at Sarabeth's and then shopped around (I showed Lu ABC Carpet and Home - one of my faves) and went to dinner at David Burke Kitchen in Soho (which was divine). We ordered the ricotta jar with honey, softshell crab quesadillas, the burrata and split the short rib with mac and cheese for dinner. It was delishhhh. Dessert was "kitchen sink" profiteroles and peanut butter and fluff donuts (thankfully I worked out Saturday morning...). Saturday night we saw The Way, Way Back with Steve Carell and Toni Collette. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it. It was a feel-good summer movie with a sort of indie vibe and I wouldn't be surprised if Allison Janney, who plays the drunk divorcee neighbor, gets nominated for best supporting actress in a comedy. She was SPOT-ON.

Sunday morning I took Lu to brunch at Good restaurant in the West Village so that I could show her that not all of the city is skyscrapers and garbage bags. We both fell in love with the townhouses. It wasn't the first time I'd been there but I fall in love every time I'm down there. Isn't it every girl's dream to have a gorgeous West Village townhouse?? If I won the lottery, that would be one of the first things on my list. Below are some swoon-worthy townhouses that I would die for. The one with the garage? It was love at first sight (too bad it's listed for $13 million...a girl can dream!!)
