Happy Friday!

I'm heading up to Greenwich tonight and then up to Queechy tomorrow morning (thank goodness for long weekends!). A few links below:

A couple great collaborations coming our way!

Marchesa has launched a moderately price line that was inspired by the founders' travels to exotica locations. It features lots of prints, rich hues, embellishments, caftans, tunics and head pieces. The line ranges in price from $260-$1000, which is still a bit pricey but if you're a fan of Marchesa's stunning designs this is a huge bargain. Read more about the launch here.

 Loveeee this dress

Rag and Bone (one of my faves) and Wellington (creator of the Hunter boot) have teamed up to produce limited edition Rag and Bone for Wellies boots. The boots are already available on R+B's website and they are super cute. They come in tall and short and have a sort of equestrian vibe. They're a great accessory for Fall. Read more on the collab here.

How cute is Mandy's office from Waiting on Martha?? I adore that Thibaut Tanzania wallpaper! I'm obsessed. For more photos of her chic office click here.

Spent a bit too much time (and $$) on Mac yesterday (an hour to be exact) picking out the perfect colors in my new 15 shade palette. I browsed tons of blogs to look at which colors people said were the best and these are the shades I picked. SO excited for this baby to get here. (more to come on my fall beauty round up soon!)

That's about it for now. Hoping my weekend is exactly like the quote below. Have a great weekend!

Solé Bikes on Gilt

Can you stand it?! How adorable are these Solé bikes?? That mint one with a basket on front is my dreammmm bike. Or the white and red. Orrrr the white and navy. How do you even decide?

Buy them on sale here
More cute colors on their website here (not on sale though)

Fall Bags 2013

As fall approaches, I get the sudden urge to run out and get a new fall bag but I must contain myself. Luckily, my birthday is in a week so if I play my cards right one of the below could be mine! This season I've seen a lot of backpacks and pouches (in stylish leather, of course), burgundy and gold and silver detailing. New versions and colors of old favorites like the Celine luggage tote and Chloe Marcie bag are just as intriguing as if we had never seen the silhouette. Same goes for Alexander Wang's bags. I also love what Tory Burch has done this season with her bags. I haven't been a huge fan of them because most seem very commercial with the TB logo but she's really stepped out of the box and made some really beautiful bags (numbers 3 and 4 below). The Milly bag is on sale on shopbop and so cute (number 13)! Which bag are you lusting after this fall??

La Maison Gray

What better way to get through this dreary and gray Wednesday than to look at some beautiful gray interiors?! Well, you could always watch the Geico humpday ad a couple times...

Birthday Wishlist

I know it's a little premature (my birthday isn't until a week from Thursday) but I always get excited for my birthday so I thought I'd post my ultimate wishlist. I'd be lucky to get any of these.. maybe I should start buying lottos tickets again??

Some of the items on here are classics like nude louboutins and an hermes belt but some are a bit more modern like the Maison Gray print, Brooke Gregson "virgo" necklace (you can pick your sign) and Helmut Lang leather jacket. Drybar gift certificates or "coasters" are an awesome gift for any girl in your life and at $40 bucks a pop I think I'll take those over flowers any day! The Nikon portrait lens is so that I can take better pics for the blog and who isn't lusting after the valentino studded heels?? What items are on your wishlists recently?

My Life Lately 8.26.13

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a nice weekend. How gorgeous was the east coast weather?? Friday night I went to dinner at Teqa with my roommate, Morgan, and then caught up on the most recent episodes of Suits (don't tell my boyfriend - supposed to wait til he gets here...).

Saturday I had a great private pilates session and then my sisters came over for a sleepover. The roof deck at our apartment is finally finished (naturally, one month before we move out) so we had proseco and cheese and crackers up there. We headed to Mermaid Oyster Bar for dinner and it couldn't have been more perfect. The Greenwich Village restaurant had a very Nantucket-y feel and the food was divine. We had a little table outside and Tory and I had the cocktail of the night, "the hummingbird." Sunday we went up to Greenwich and I'm proud to say I actually went in the pool (and got my hair wet!).

5 Years Ago Today...

Five years ago today, my mom, dad and two sisters and I drove up to Ithaca in the suburban, which was packed to the brim. I was nervous and excited and had no idea what to expect. This was the first day of the rest of my life!! I was officially a college student and as we approached the gates of Cornell, my 17 year old self was ready for a new adventure. Having grown up in Rye, NY and Greenwich, CT my whole life, I was ready to meet new and different people, hear new ideas and learn new things.

Artist of the Day: Gray Malin of Maison Gray

I've been seeing these wonderful aerial beach photos on Pinterest and blogs and finally figured out that they belong to Gray Malin of Maison Gray. Malin grew up in Dallas, went to Emerson College and has quickly become a rising star in the art world.

The colors in the photos are gorgeous and the shots are fun and bright and Gray must hateeee going to these terrrrible locations to shoot! He also shoots most of his aerial ones from a doorless helicopter so he's also really cool. Did I mention he is only 27?! Let's just say I am a bit jealous! I am obsessed with the photos  and now they offer wallpaper and even swim trunks for men. I would loveeee a huge ski or beach print over my couch. I also love the idea of doing a big triptych. You can buy his photos here.

Fashion Crush of the Day: Grace Kelly

I know this one seems a little odd, considering my other choices for fashion crush of the day, BUT who is more fashionable than Grace Kelly?? I was literally dying searching for photos of her. She is so chic and beautiful and was an actress, ultimate style icon AND Princess of Monaco. I desperately wish my grandmother's old dresses from the 50's fit me. Maybe that should be my diet inspiration?! She is way more than a crush - I think this is full blown obsession. Hail to Grace Kelly!

Neutrals for Fall

I went on shopbop this morning when I got to work and was so inspired by Vince's fall line. Everything is clean and impeccably cut and, as is Vince's way, neutral.  This fall I want to focus on getting well-made, classic pieces that I will want in my wardrobe forever rather than cheapish pieces I hate in 6 months. I'm not quiteeeee ready for summer to be over and to give up my white pants but I will be ready for black, navy, gray and tan come mid-September.My favorite fall looks have been from Vince, Rag and Bone, Helmut Lang, Theory, Rebecca Taylor, and, surprisingly, it looks like Susana Monaco is making a comeback.

Happy Friday

Hi everyone! Hope your week flew by like mine did. I took Monday off and my team had a golf outing in Bedford on Wednesday and before I knew it, it's Friday. On Wednesday we had an awesome day on the course drinking southsides and then had a great dinner at Bedford Post where we ran into none other than Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively (and Richard Gere, the owner)!

I started my gluten-free diet today for the rest of the summer and have set a goal to workout 4x a week until September 1st (and hopefully after). This weekend I have pilates and plan on working my buns off in the gym tonight. They say hard work pays off so let's see! Have a great weekend everyone.

Hermes Belt

I've been dying for an Hermes belt for the last few years and I'm thinking that I may pull the trigger and get one for my birthday in September. My roommate, Morgan, has one that is taupe/grayish on one side and black on the other and it is adorable. I also love the brown leather. Which would you get? They look so cute with a dress or with white pants or jean shorts or pretty much anything. I'm thinking gold buckle.

Fashion Crush of the Day: Aimee Song of Song of Style

I adore Aimee Song's (of "Song of Style") fashion sense. She is equal parts California laid back and put-together. I also adore her interiors and religiously follow her instagram. Below are a few of my favorite looks.
